Come and visit the Beskidy Mountains and stay at one of our boarding-houses – the Villa Widok [View] or the Villa Relax, located in the picturesque town of Szczyrk located some 600 m. above sea level. Although the name of Szczyrk has become famous throughout Poland mainly for its skiing and other winter sports activities, our boarding-houses are worth visiting all year round. The apartments combine a rustic interior design with rich furnishings.

There are nine luxurious apartments waiting for you, each with satellite TV (including Canal +), a fast Internet connection, recreation facilities, a large Jacuzzi, two saunas and a steam bath, the Figlo Park and a playground for children, a banquet cellar, barbecue stove, as well as a fireplace to relax in at the end of the day.

About the neighbourhood

Szczyrk is one of the best known tourist resorts in the Beskidy Mountains, and also one of the main centres for winter sports in Poland. Szczyrk has dozens of kilometres of ski runs of varying difficulty, and also offers perfect conditions for snowboarding. Owing to its picturesque location, the town is also a pleasant summer resort for active sports and leisure. You can hike along the beautiful mountain trails, or get out your mountain bike and ride them instead. Other recommendable forms of active leisure include the Safe Flying School with its paragliding training courses, or one of the many sports facilities within the Olympic Training Centre. Other attractions can be found at the nearby Żywieckie Lake, the region's popular water sports centre. If you prefer less strenuous leisure, we recommend strolls along the old Beskidy architectural tourist trail, hikes on the mountain trails, or visits to the cinema, art galleries and the many restaurants where you can be served the region's specialties. Always remember to bring your passport, as this will allow you to make the most of a sightseeing and shopping trip to the border-straddling town of Cieszyn, only about 40 km away. Szczyrk is an excellent place to visit in late July and early August, when you can see events forming part of the Beskidy Culture Festival, including performances by folk groups from all over the world. After a concert, try dancing the night away at one of the great discos organised for festival goers.

What are the attractions in Szczyrk during the summer?

Right outside Villa Widok you will find yourself on a green tourist trail. We encourage you to take this 6 km trail right to the top of Klimczok Mountain, on down to Biła and then on to Szczyrk. The trail is not a difficult one, and the views are beautiful. Of course, there are many more just as wonderful trails in the neighbourhood, as described in the numerous guides to the Beskidy Mountains. We also suggest that you visit the nearby town of Wisła, world-famous as the home town of Adam Małysz, the ski-jumper. If you travel by car, then you can drive around the Beskidy loop: Szczyrk - Wisła - Istebna - Koniaków - Milówka - Węgierska Górka – Żywiec - Szczyrk. If you do, then do not forget to turn aside before you reach Żywiec in order to visit Jeleśnia and to have a meal at the old inn. We have established links with Sport Widok, who offer yachting on Żywieckie Lake and other active forms of leisure.
